Pitch For Change Winners
Congratulations to our Pitch for Change winners!
The first prize winner was Aldi Haryopratomo from Harvard Business School with Ruma. Ruma is a telecommunications microfranchise business which benefits franchisees and communities in poor, rural areas of Indonesia.
The second prize winner was Angaza Design from a team at Stanford University. Angaza provides high quality lighting solutions to communities in East Africa. Team members included Lesley Silverthorn, Bryan Duggan and John Krzywicki.
The third prize winner was Drinkup from the Schulich School of Business at York University, which will rent water filtration units to local entrepreneurs to help them provide clean water in their communities. DrinKup was also the recipient of the audience choice award. The DrinKup team included Afzal Habib, Adam Camenzuli, Sameer Gulamani, Bonnie Lau, Sarah Kaytal and Nathan Jenkins.”
