Enter the SECON 2018 Pitch Competition to present your idea to industry leaders, receive insightful feedback, and generate interest among like-minded people!

About the Competition

SECON 2018 offers you an incredible opportunity to be exposed to investors, mentors, collaborators, customers, and the Harvard community. Five to ten finalists will be selected to pitch in front of a panel of expert judges on February 10-11 on campus at Harvard Business School.

Applications are closed now. Finalists will be announced on January 10, 2018.


  • The idea must tackle a social or environmental issue
  • One person from the team must be available to pitch in person in Cambridge, MA on February 10-11, 2018. Travel and accommodation costs will not be provided by SECON.
  • Any type of corporate structure (nonprofit, for-profit, B Corps, etc.) is welcome to apply


The finalists will have an exceptional opportunity to pitch in front of an esteemed panel of judges, receive quality feedback and a potential mentorship opportunity. This year, our panel of judges include: 

  •  Stephanie Khurana, Managing Director at Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation
  • Zoe Schlag, Managing Director at Techstars Impact
  • Anna Trieschmann, Manager Strategic Partnerships at Social Innovation Forum


  • Winner(s) will receive cash prizes of up to $2,500, networking opportunities with the speakers, and a potential mentorship invitation from the pitch competition judges
  • Finalists will receive one full conference pass, a finalist certificate, exposure on SECON 2018 website, and the opportunity to pitch their idea to a panel of experts
  • More prizes to be announced!
  • We will ask semi-finalists to submit 5-7 slides with an overview of their idea or organization.
