Eligibility & Application
Do I need to be Harvard-affiliated to apply?
No, the competition is open to both Harvard and non-Harvard applicants.
Does my company need to be nominated to apply?
No, you can apply as an individual applicant without a nomination.
What types of companies are eligible to apply?
Both for-profit and nonprofit ventures are eligible. Companies must align with at least one of the following tracks:
- Climate & Sustainability
- AI & Tech for Social Good
- Healthcare Innovation
- Education & Workforce
Can I apply if my company is in an early stage?
Yes, companies at all stages are welcome to apply, but preference may be given to those with demonstrated traction or impact potential.

What is the application timeline?

- Finalist Announcement: March 9, 2025
Who are the judges evaluating my application?
SECON will invite a panel of experts, including venture capitalists, industry leaders, and social impact practitioners. Additionally, VCs and investors will be in the audience.
Participation & Pitching
Do I need to be registered for SECON 2025 to apply?
No, registration for SECON is not required to apply. However, only finalists will receive an invitation to attend the conference and pitch in person.
Do I have to pitch with a team, or can I pitch individually?
You may pitch either as an individual or with a team.
Will SECON cover my travel or participation costs if I qualify for the finals?
No, SECON will not cover travel or accommodation costs. Finalists must arrange their own travel and cover any associated expenses.
Submission Requirements & Prizes
What materials do I need to submit with my application?
At a minimum, applicants must submit a pitch deck. There is also an option to submit additional supporting materials such as financial documents, reports, or traction metrics. Submitting more materials is encouraged.
Is there a fee to participate?
No, participation in the competition is completely free.
What is the prize for the SECON 2025 Global Impact Pitch Competition?
The main winner will receive a grant prize. The exact amount will be announced closer to the event.
